WPCA’S MISSION

Our mission is to the cultivate interest and support for the arts in West Philadelphia.

Our work follows three core values:

Collaboration

WPCA was formed as an alliance of community organizations, and it sustains those historic relationships while developing new creative partnerships for community development.

Leadership

WPCA leads by bringing together people and organizations with diverse backgrounds. We help them find common ground to their mutual benefit.

Respect

Through its administration and its programs, WPCA reflects the diversity of the West Philadelphia community and the internationalism of Paul Robeson.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Your contribution will go towards the professional development of local artists, the visibility of the community’s cultural resources, and social change through the arts.

PAUL ROBESON HOUSE

In 2008, WPCA received support to restore the Paul Robeson House, the last residence of the African American artist and civil rights activist.
